This weekend, LYBOTICS community made history in southern Libya by hosting the Sabha Robotics Qualifier, an event that not only showcased the brilliance of young minds but also sparked hope and opportunity in one of the most underserved regions of the country. Teams from Sabha, Wershefana, Hun, Benghazi, and beyond came together to compete, collaborate, and innovate in ways that inspire a brighter future.
Southern Libya, like many underrepresented areas, often faces challenges in accessing quality education and resources. At LYBOTICS community, we believe every student, regardless of their location, deserves the chance to explore their potential and contribute to the world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This tournament was a testament to that belief.
The Sabha event was more than just a competition; it was a life-changing experience for students. Many participants built their first-ever robots, collaborated with peers from different cities, and presented solutions to real-world problems. For the students, it wasn’t just about the trophies but about the skills, confidence, and friendships they gained along the way.
As we concluded the event, we were reminded of the incredible potential that exists within every corner of Libya and Africa. By bringing STEM education and opportunities to underserved regions, LYBOTICS is not just creating future engineers and innovators—we are transforming lives and empowering communities to thrive.
